Space expansion, maintenance and purchase of new machines are financed using loans from members, and paid back with below market interest rates.

We have a cleaning firm that sweeps the floor and empties trash once a week. All other cleaning must be done by members. If you do not clean up after yourself, another member will have to do it. Always leave the space looking better than when you arrived!

Bitmart sells electronics starter kits, milling bits, bolts, nuts, screws, and more. Debit and credit cards are accepted. This is located in the downstairs kitchen and upstairs in the workshop.

All workshops are done by members on their spare time. Special training is required to use the laser, lathe and milling machines. If you do not know how to use a machine, ask for advice. Never try to use a machine you are not trained for. If you use it incorrectly, it may break.

We offer desks for rent to freelancers, telecommuters, startups, and the self-employed. See details at https://bitraf.no/wiki/Kontorplasser We don’t have an advertising budget, so please tell your friends about this.

Members can connect their gear and watch movies or TV shows in the main lab, but please adjust the volume accordingly if there are people working nearby. Headphones usually means “Do not disturb, I’m trying to focus”.
